The inaugural production of Art.sy Films, Sky Ladder, follows Cai Guo-Qiang’s creation of three gunpowder “drawings” at MOCA, Los Angeles, through his contemplative, almost ritualistic preparations to the exuberant public spectacle of the ignitions.
